Winston

WINSTON DAMARILLO
Founder, Former CEO

Winston Damarillo founded Exist in 2001. He is a serial entrepreneur with a proven track record of building and creating value for successful technology start-ups. Currently, the chairman of Global Gateway Innovation Exchange (G2iX), the innovation platform that enables rapid development of IT startups, Winston has founded multiple disruptive companies
including Morphlabs, a comprehensive cloud computing platform enabler for enterprise and service providers, and MaestroDev, a collaborative software development automation company.
His past entrepreneurial endeavors include several companies which he grew to profitability and subsequently sold to major IT players: Gluecode Software, an open source application infrastructure company which was acquired by IBM in 2005, Logicblaze acquired by Iona Technologies in 2007, and most recently, Webtide, acquired by Intalio in 2009.
Prior to his entrepreneurial endeavors, Winston was among the highest performing venture capital professionals at Intel, having led the majority of his investments to either a successful IPO or a profitable corporate acquisition.
Winston is one of the prestigious Young Global Leader (YGL) honorees for 2010 and an active participant of the World Economic Forum, a place where young leaders envision and create a brighter future. He is a key driver in the development of the Philippine IT industry as a board member and international marketing director for the Philippine Software Industry Association, a non-profit organization that promotes the growth and global competitiveness of the Philippine software industry. Winston is also a trustee of the Ayala Foundation USA, an organization committed to social development initiatives for Filipinos in the Philippines and around the world.
Winston holds a B.S. in Industrial and Mechanical Engineering from the De La Salle University.
Jerry

JERRY RAPES
President and CEO

Jerry Rapes is President and CEO at Exist and is responsible for leading global business operations with significant hand in the management of sales organization and operations, service delivery, business development, alliances, and marketing. Jerry joined Exist in 2006 and has served under executive roles including vice president of sales and marketing and general
manager. In these capacities, he has been instrumental in improving sales performance, enhancing human resources and infrastructure, and streamlining company-wide operations.
Prior to joining Exist, Jerry was a consultant with the manufacturing and distribution division of SGV/ Andersen Consulting, where his area of expertise involved business process improvement. Before joining SGV/Andersen Consulting, he managed a distribution network for international consumer products.
Jerry holds an Industrial Engineering degree from the University of the Philippines.
Mike

MIKE LIM
VP for Engineering

Michael Lim is Vice President of engineering at Exist, responsible for ensuring that Exist stays current with emerging software technologies, tools, and development methodologies. Mike keeps a constant finger on the pulse of the industry, develops the technology strategy, and introduces relevant ideas through training, prototypes, and application of new technologies
and techniques to projects. Previously, Mike held the role of CTO and was responsible for the technology development at large, including engineering, service delivery, quality assurance, research and development, and infrastructure.
While in Exist, Mike was part of the original team that developed Gluecode Joe now known as the IBM WasCE (WebSphere Application Server Community Edition).
Mike holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the De La Salle University.
